Snow Leopardess is primed for Randox Grand National after making the declaration stage as she looks to become the first mare since 1951 to win the showpiece event at Aintree

Snow Leopardess, gritty winner of the Becher Chase at Aintree last December, is now a general 14-1 chance to repeat that victory in next month’s Randox Grand National after being guaranteed a run at the latest acceptance stage.
The Charlie Longsdon-trained mare, unbeaten in three starts over fences this term, is now 38th in the list for the marquee staying event and will tackle Liverpool‘s famous fences again, fitness permitting.
She is the shortest-priced British entry and is joined by leading fancies Escaria Ten, Any Second Now and Delta Work who all stood their ground and are among the 78 which go forward to the next declaration stage.

Those sweating on making the final line up, which has a safety limit of 40 runners, include Classic Chase winner Eclair Surf who is 47th on the list, while February Ascot winner Fortescue is 48th.
L Sporting Life Arkle hero Edwardstone could round off a magnificent campaign with victory next month at Aintree.
‘I had a quick meeting with the owners at Southwell on Monday and the plan is to go to Aintree, as long as we’re happy with him,’ reported trainer Alan King.
‘He will tell me. He seems in good order, but we don’t have to make a rushed decision on that.’
