In her seasonal bow, In Italian (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}–Florentina {Aus}, by Redoute’s Choice {Aus}) took the lead and showed the field her heels in a classy wire-to-wire romp in the GI Jenny Wiley S. to kick off her 2023 campaign with a bang. Never out of her comfort zone as she put up :23.63, :47.29, and 1:10.66 splits with ears pricked, she had plenty in the tank for the homeward drive to easily keep With The Moonlight (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) at bay as White Frost (Candy Ride {Arg}) made it close, but was forced to settle for third. The final time was 1:33.78.
