As the only inexperienced member of the line-up for Sunday’s G3 Prix Vanteaux, Al Shira’aa Farms’s Jannah Rose (Ire) (Frankel {GB}–Sophie Germain {Ire}, by Indian Ridge {Ire}) had her work cut out so it was even more impressive that she was able to put up such a command performance in ParisLongchamp’s Classic pointer. Off the mark over a mile at Chantilly in September, the Carlos Laffon-Parias-trained half-sister to the G2 Lanwades Stud S. winner Creggs Pipes (Ire) (Rip Van Winkle {Ire}) was not missed in the market as the 5-2 second favourite for the nine-furlong test and raced under early restraint from Christophe Soumillon. Making her move wide in early straight, the bay who was a €650,000 Goffs Orby purchase struck the front a furlong out and readily asserted her superiority to score by 1 3/4 lengths from Sea The Lady (Fr) (Sea The Moon {Ger}), with 1 1/4 lengths back to Around Midnight (Fr) (Almanzor {Fr}) in third.
