Downtown Mischief Stays Unbeaten In Cicada

Sent off as the 1-2 chalk, DOWNTOWN MISCHIEF (Into Mischief) had to work for much of it but came out a winner of Aqueduct’s Cicada S. Sandwiched between horses in a tightly-grouped field, she had pressure on her all the way from both Hot Little Thing (Army Mule) and Fabulously Funny (Practical Joke) past the quarter pole. Finally given her cue as the trio straightened for the money, Downtown Mischief kicked into gear and outran everyone but a closing but green Tappin Josie (Anchor Down) to pick up the win. The 3-year-old fillies sprinted the six furlongs in 1:13.72. Lifetime Record: 3-3-0-0. O/B-Lady Sheila Stable; T-Linda Rice.
