The local hero settled nicely mid-pack, content to watch Nullarbor (Candy Ride {Arg}) serve as the rabbit. Rounding the far turn, as the pace began to fall apart, it was the Moger barn gelding that seized the lead, and with a final time of 1:51.68, he collected the victory over favorite Gilmore (Twirling Candy).
