Given her powerful connections, she has been touted as a leading contender for Group 1 glory as a three-year-old, but this Group 3 appears more than an adequate test of her credentials with the likes of Max Vega, Hypothetical and BRIGHT MELODY (Kempton, nap, 2.45) all in opposition.
Max Vega has already won at this level courtesy of a smooth Newmarket success last October, while Hypothetical destroyed his five rivals before Christmas at Chelmsford and appears the latest in a long line of talented three-year-olds to emerge from his stable.
Both are respected, however there was precious little wrong with the Chelmsford victory of Bright Melody either and he arguably did extremely well to overcome greenness and inexperience on his January debut.
Rousted along leaving the stalls, the son of Dubawi finished off his race powerfully under Adam Kirby to overhaul Arabian Moon and it is worth noting third-home To Nathaniel and Papa Power (in fifth) have subsequently won three races between them from as many starts.
The selection’s inexperience probably contributed to him being gelded prior to his debut meaning there will be no Classic targets on the horizon.
Hopefully, that has encouraged connections to have him fully tuned up for his second racecourse start.
Others to keep an eye on at the Sunbury venue include GOSSIPING (Kempton, nb, 3.20) who has slipped back down to an attractive mark and boasts the services of Andrea Atzeni who guided the veteran to a five-length Epsom success almost a year to the day.
