Trainer Paul Nicholls will give McFabulous the chance to show he is a contender for the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March after his effortless three-length win in the Persian War Novices’ Hurdle at Chepstow.

Nicholls nominated the Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury on November 27 as the next race for the winning odds-on favourite after jockey Harry Cobden barely had to move as he beat Courtandbould.
