Mo Stash Goes Gate-To-Wire In Transylvania

Mo Stash (Mo Town–Making Mark Money, by Smart Strike) became his sire’s first graded-stakes winner Friday with a front-running score in the GIII Kentucky Utilities Transylvania S. on opening day at Keeneland. Push to the front right away, the bay had company on his outside from favored Dude N Colorado (GB) (Uncle Mo) but was able to clear down to the rail into the first turn. Glued to the inside up the backstretch through a half in :48.41, Mo Stash took the shortest way around and had plenty left to hold off a challenge in the final sixteenth from Nagirroc (Lea) and win going away. The 3-year-old colts covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.05. Lifetime Record: 6-2-2-0.
