Weatherbys Publishes 48th General Stud Book

Volume 48 of the General Stud Book, recording all thoroughbreds foaled in Great Britain and Ireland from 2013-2016, has been published by Weatherbys. Crafted using the finest materials with leather and quality finishes, the first volume was published in 1791 by James Weatherby and that company has published every volume since.

“The General Stud Book is the world’s founding thoroughbred register and has been at the heart of our British and Irish business for nearly 230 years, and we remain committed to publishing this historic record in its original printed format,” said Johnny Weatherby, chairman of Weatherbys.
