Heartbreak for Scoop6 punter sunk in final leg

PORTAMENTO could only finish seventh for the one remaining ticket holder in the final leg of the Scoop6 meaning the bet rolls over to next week.

A mere 54 tickets made it through to the fourth leg of the bet after wins for Hawksmoor, Maarek and Rene Mathis in the first three races.

One punter had successfully managed to pick Wadi Al Hattawi and Cosmic Chatter, winners of legs four and five, but came unstuck when Polybius won the Listed Stobart Club And Shop Hopeful Stakes at Newmarket.

A total of £279,164 will go forward to next week in the win fund with £212,706 in the bonus pool.

Andrew Griffiths, spokesman for Totepool, said: “The Scoop6 continues to elude punters and we expect next Saturday’s bet will be worth well over £600,000.”

Scoop6 breakdown:
Leg 1 –
Leg 2 – 2,105
Leg 3- 54
Leg 4 – 4
Leg 5 – 1
Leg 6 –0
