Wexford: two Flat meetings have been moved to Gowran Park and Navan

WEXFORD will become a jumps-only course, Horse Racing Ireland announced on Wednesday.

In April last year Wexford switched to a left-handed track and the move was said to have improved jumping at the venue.

However, a runner limit of ten was put in place for Flat meetings.

Work to improve the course has been carried out, but it will not be suitable for Flat racing so Gowran Park will stage the Wexford fixture scheduled for July 23, while the meeting on August 27 moves to Navan.
