UNTAPABLE (Steve Asmussen/Florent Geroux) concedes a few pounds to five rivals as she bids to land her first victory since this race 12 months ago.
Unbeaten against her own sex when champion three-year-old filly in 2014, when she won both the Kentucky Oaks and the Breeders’ Cup Distaff, Untapable was generally unable to reproduce that level of form last season in a series of placed efforts.
Furthermore, she is 3lb worse off in this $600,000 event as she bids to turn around a recent course-and-distance defeat by Call Pat (Brad Cox/Joe Rocco), a neck in front in the Grade 3 Azeri on March 16. However, it may be worth noting that Untapable was also beaten in last year’s Azeri before winning this.
Recent Grade 1 winner Tara’s Tango (Jerry Hollendorfer/Rafael Bejarano) jets in from the west coast.

Front-runner Heart To Heart (Brian Lynch/Julien Leparoux), who has won four of his last five, bids to break his Grade 1 duck in a race also featuring Breeders’ Cup Mile third Tourist (Bill Mott/Jose Lezcano) and Miss Temple City (Graham Motion/Drayden van Dyke), who gets a handy sex allowance and likes this track.
