Twenty Stakes Winners For Arc Sale

Arqana has catalogued 50 horses-in-training for its Arc Sale in Chantilly on Sept. 30, with 10 slots for wildcards. Twenty of those are stakes winners. Two-year-olds up for sale include G3 Prix d’Arenberg winner Rimini (Fr) (Elusive Ciy {Fr}) (lot 6) and listed-winning filly Pursuing The Dream (Ire) (Dream Ahead) (lot 49).

The 33 3-year-olds catalogued include Freddy Head’s G3 Prix Texanita winner Aladdine (GB) (Naaqoos {GB}) (lot 5); stakes winner Normandel (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}) (lot 12), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Mount Ormel (Fr) (Air Chief Marshal {Fr}); stakes winner and promising stayer Galipad (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) (lot 22); Real Value (Fr) (Rip Van Winkle {Ire}) (lot 28), who has won three straight in Germany this season including a Group 3 last out; last out G2 T. von Zastrow Stutenpreis winner Ashiana (Ger) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) (lot 42); this year’s G2 German 2000 Guineas winner Poetic Dream (Ire) (Poet’s Voice {GB}) (lot 37); and the Aga Khan’s Darbuzan (Fr) (Zamindar {GB}) (lot 52), France’s leading 3-year-old stayer who already has an update since the catalogue publication, having won Friday’s G3 Prix Lutece. All of the aforementioned 3-year-olds have won stakes races this season.

Ten older horses are catalogued, one with an entry in the following day’s G1 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe: last year’s G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner Silverwave (Fr) (Silver Frost {Fr}), a group winner at three, four and five. The 5-year-old is catalogued as lot 16.
