TONY MCCOY has already notched his fastest-ever century of winners this season and he has seven rides at Worcester on Wednesday evening, five of which are favourites.
Numerically, Worcester has been McCoy’s most successful course over the past five seasons with 93 wins from 343 rides and he is in with an outside chances of reaching 100 winners at the track with a strong book of rides.
Baron Stacey, a 7-2 chance for the 2m7f handicap chase (5.05), is McCoy’s least fancied ride of the evening with the multiple champion also due to partner favourites It Is What It Is (4.35), Boru’s Brook (5.35), Street Entertainer (6.05), Stonemadforspeed (6.35) and In The Rough (7.05). He also partners Bathwick Street in the concluding 2m4f novices’ hurdle (7.35).
Chester Barnes, assistant to Street Entertainer’s trainer David Pipe, wrote on Pipe’s website: “Street Entertainer is my idea of a good thing in the seller – with an official rating of 126, he is rated 16lbs higher than his nearest rival.
“It is often risky betting short odds about horses in this sort of grade but he looks a solid odds-on chance to me.”
Chris Wall has his team in great form, so Trucanini in the 8.55 at Kempton makes plenty of appeal to follow up her win in this last year, especially as she’s 2-2 at the track.
