MORE than £3 million in the combined win and bonus pools will roll over to day one of Royal Ascot after yesterday’s typically tricky Scoop6 proved beyond punters – despite £572,738 being bet into the pot.

With £1,233,974 in the win pool and £1,792,585 in the bonus kitty, the Scoop6 will be an added theme for Royal Ascot week. Tuesday’s card features four Group races and one Listed contest, and the Scoop6 could therefore include races from other meetings.

Just 15,344 tickets survived the first race yesterday, and that was gradually whittled down. Only 25 tickets made it beyond the halfway mark and Hoofalong’s 16-1 victory at Musselburgh ensured a rollover.

There were 411 winners of the £243.80 place fund.

Race 1 – Snoano – 15,344
Race 2 – Felix Leiter – 2,90
Race 3 – Meadway – 25
Race 4 – Mr Lupton – 3
Race 5 – Hoofalong – 0
