UNBEATEN Richmond Stakes winner Ivawood, next season’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas favourite, is among the entries for the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster on October 25.
Richard Hannon’s two-year-old was an easy winner at Goodwood, impressively beating the Clive Cox-trained Louie De Palma by four and a half lengths.
Also among 106 entries for the end-of-season contest is Aidan O’Brien’s Highland Reel, who has won three of his four starts this season, the highlight coming when winning the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood by two and quarter lengths.
O’Brien, who has won three of the last five runnings of the Trophy, has entered 28 others, most notably Gleneagles, who has won two of his three starts this season, and Sunday’s Curragh winner John F Kennedy.
Other entries include John Gosden’s Royal Ascot winner Richard Pankhurst, Superlative Stakes winner Estidhkaar and Vintage Stakes runner-up Tupi.
