ROAD TO VICTORY (Quality Road) fetched just $25K as a KEESEP yearling last fall, but blossomed over the next seven months and was knocked down to Justin Casse for $500K at this year’s OBSAPR sale after scorching a furlong in :9 4/5. The March foal debuts for the partnership of John Oxley and Gary Barber. Vivacitas (Bernardini) is a homebred daughter of French Group 3 winner Stella Blue (Fr) (Anabaa), also the dam of MSW GSP Sirius Prospect (Gone West). TJCIS PPs

Coolmore and Stonestreet teamed to acquire COROT (Pioneerof the Nile) at the 2016 KEESEP sale, stretching to $925K for the full-brother to Midnight Storm, a Grade I-winning miler on turf and third in the GI Breeders’ Cup Mile and a multiple graded winner on the main track. The hammer price was the second most-expensive of 52 yearlings to sell by this sire in 2016. Corot was successfully pinhooked after Venneri Racing, part-owner and co-breeder of Midnight Storm, paid $300K at KEENOV in 2015. TJCIS PPs

BIG BIRTHDAY (Mineshaft), a $200K purchase out of the 2016 FTKOCT yearling sale, drilled an eighth of a mile in :10 2/5 ahead of this year’s FTFMAR sale and was hammered down to Peter Brant’s White Birch Farm. Her dam, Jellicle (Ire) (Successful Appeal), is a half-sister to Mineshaft’s treble Grade I winner It’s Tricky. Mojgan (Flatter) is a half-sister to GSW La Traviata (Johannesburg), the dam ofMG1SW Seventh Heaven (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and 2011 G1 Middle Park S. winner Crusade (Mr. Greeley), now a stallion and represented by nine first-crop winners in South Africa. 3rd-SA, $50K, Msw, 2yo, f, 5 1/2f, post time: 4:30 p.m.
PATRICIA’S RING (Malibu Moon) was the most expensive of seven foals sold at public auction in 2015 by this sire, hammering to Spendthrift Farm, home of this stallion, for $370K at FTKNOV. The cross is already proven, as the filly’s Grade III-placed dam Erhu (Tactical Cat) is responsible for Patricia’s Ring’s ill-fated full-sister Onlyforyou as well as SW and fellow full-sister Dress the Part. LNJ Foxwoods’ ANONYMITY (Tapit) belied debut odds of 9-1 to score by 3 1/4 widening lengths at first asking to become a ‘TDN Rising Star’ (94 Beyer Speed Figure) at Del Mar Aug. 11. The $600K KEESEP graduate, a full-sister to champion and GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile hero Hansen, should get tested by the outposted Dominating Woman (Dominus), who broke her maiden by better than seven lengths when last seen in late February, earning a 90 BSF.
