GERMANY: Rogue Runner out to make it perfect three

Preview: Germany, Sunday 3.55pm BST

Frankfurt: Fruhjahrs-Preis Des Bankhauses Metzler Stadtrat Albert Von Metzler-Rennen (Group 3) 1m2f (3yo) (Turf)

UNDER-THREAT Frankfurt racecourse stages the most significant fixture of its season on Sunday, featuring the Derby trial which launched Sea The Moon on the route to stardom 12 months ago.

Eight will go to post for the Group 3 Fruhjars-Preis over 1m2f, with Oisin Murphy aboard Qatar Racing’s Rogue Runner.

The son of King’s Best is two from two for trainer Andreas Wohler, who is also represented by Fair Mountain and stable jockey Eduardo Pedroza.

German-based bookmaker Racebets have pledged half of all turnover on the race towards the campaign to save the track, which is due to be sold by the city council to the German Football Federation unless the measure is rejected in a referendum on June 21.

Marsh Hawk and Kieran O’Neill will fly the flag for Richard Hannon in Sunday’s Dusseldorf’s Henkel Stutenpreis, a Listed race for three-year-old fillies over a mile which has attracted a field of eleven.

Rockliffe Stud’s daughter of Invincible Spirit was seventh of eight behind Osaila in the Nell Gwyn at Newmarket on her reappearance but is better judged on her fourth place in last October’s Group 1 Fillies Mile.
