Stoked up approaching the two pole, the 11-10 favourite led with 1 1/2 furlongs remaining and was ridden out to score by 1 3/4 lengths from Wadilsafa (GB) (Frankel {GB}). Out of G1 Haydock Sprint Cup-winning French highweight sprinter African Rose (GB) (Observatory), the homebred chestnut if a full-brother to last term’s G3 Princess Margaret S. victress and G2 Rockfel S. runner-up Fair Eva (GB), and half to a yearling colt by Kingman. African Rose is herself a full-sister to GSW G1 Prix Marcel Boussac second Helleborine (GB) and they are both daughters of G3 Lancashire Oaks third New Orchid (Quest for Fame {GB}), who in turn is a half-sister to G1 Dewhurst S.-winning sire Distant Music (Distant View).
