ROUND TWO shot to the head of the betting for the Coventry Stakes and earned rave reviews from his trainer Jim Bolger in the process when making it two wins from two in the Listed Cold Move EBF Marble Hill Stakes.

A winner at Naas on his debut, the 15-8 joint-favourite had little difficulty in despatching Ballydoyle inmate Washington DC as he cruised clear under Kevin Manning to win by an easy two lengths.

Paddy Power cut the son of Teofilo to 7-2 favourite (from 6) for the Coventry and Bolger gave the impression after the race that he may have a horse destined for the very top.

“He is everything you’d like in a racehorse,” said Bolger “I’ve never had a horse who is as straightforward as he is.

“The trip doesn’t seem to matter, it doesn’t matter where you put him in a race, it doesn’t matter how you train him, nothing matters and I think he’ll go on any ground. If you wouldn’t get excited by him you wouldn’t be alive.”

On which race he will target at Royal Ascot, Bolger added: “Just as I said about Dawn Approach at the time we will have to see where he fits vis-a-vis the others.”
