Congrats Filly Handles Two-Turn Test in Lexington

1st-KEE, $67,000, Alw, 10-20, (NW1X), 2yo, f, 1m, 1:38.66, ft.
STRONGER THAN EVER (f, 2, Congrats–Broken Silence {SP, $123,430}, by Broken Vow) rallied from out of the clouds to get it done at first asking sprinting under the Twin Spires Sept. 16, and handled this two-turn test with aplomb. Avoiding a foe who lost the jock out of the gate, the 5-2 shot bided her time in fourth position in a strung-out field behind a moderate pace. She went for a rail run to take closer order into the home bend, tipped out for clear sailing in upper stretch and kicked away from longshot Glamorized (Majestic Warrior) down the center en route to a convincing 2 1/2-length success. A $310,000 Keeneland September acquisition, the winner hails from the female family of Grade I-winning router Rail Trip (Jump Start). D. Wayne Lukas acquired her yearling half-sister by Ghostzapper for $435,000 at this year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale. Stronger Than Ever has a weanling half-brother by Verrazano and her dam was bred back to More Than Ready. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $72,140.
